Today's youth

Can they be helped?

I work with kids almost all day. Ages 12 to 22. When arguably, the 20somthings aren't "kids" anymore, but you'd be surprised. The kids I work with are athletes, so they all have something to lose/something they're invested in. What about the kids that don't?

I was on a panel the other day talking to some inmates. They basically said that they are afraid of the next generation - who's fear and respect for their parents and other adults is disappearing FAST. That those kids will stab you in a second. Has our generation made them grow up too fast?

Well, the prospect of it all has made me throw my hands up in frustration. I don't know what to do. Who does?

My opinion may not be popular, but I am an American
